Using CalenGoo with Outlook

There are three ways how CalenGoo can be synced with Outlook:

Sync Outlook via iTunes (Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016)

You can sync your Outlook with your iPhone’s calendar using iTunes. Please see here how to do this:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203300

Afterward you can tell CalenGoo to access the iPhone’s calendar, e.g. by turning "Settings > Accounts > Show iPhone calendars" on. Please see Sync between CalenGoo and the iPhone/iPod/iPad’s calendar for details.

Sync Outlook via Exchange/Office 365 (all versions of Microsoft Outlook)

If your Outlook is synced with an Exchange server or with Office 365, you can sync your iPhone with that server, too. Just start the "Settings" app and add the Exchange server under "Accounts & Passwords". If you are using Office 365 just leave the domain field empty and use the full email address in the ”email” and “username” boxes as explained here.

Afterward you can tell CalenGoo to access the iPhone’s calendar by turning "Settings > Accounts > Show iPhone calendars" on. Please see Sync between CalenGoo and the iPhone/iPod/iPad’s calendar for details.

Sync Outlook with Google Calendar (Microsoft Outlook for Windows 2003 - 2016)

If you sync Outlook with your Google Calendar, you can use CalenGoo normally by simply entering your Google Calendar email and password. It has also the advantage that you can access your (Outlook-) calendar from any Internet-connected computer by accessing http://calendar.google.com. Google doesn't provide a free program for this purpose any more, but you can use a commercial program like GSyncIt (with support) or a free solution like Outlook CalDav Synchronizer (but probably without support and more difficult to set up) instead. Please see the websites of these products to see which Outlook versions are supported.

Or you can sync your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch with Outlook or Exchange and use the app SyncCal to sync your Outlook/Exchange events with your Google Calendar. SyncCal can either copy your events from your Outlook/Exchange calendars into Google Calendar or it can even sync in both directions, i.e. if you want it can also sync changes that you make in Google Calendar back into your Outlook/Exchange calendars.

Using CalenGoo with Outlook.com

Basically it works in the same way as explained above when using an Exchange server. First you have to configure your iPhone calendar to sync with your Outlook.com/Hotmail account. Microsoft provides instructions for it under "iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch" here. Just follow these steps:
  1. Start the "Settings" app, and then tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendar".
  2. Tap "Add Account" in the Accounts page.
  3. Select Exchange.
  4. Enter your Outlook.com address and password.
  5. Select the fields that you want to sync. Ensure that "Calendars" is turned on. Tap Save.
Afterward turn "Settings > Accounts > Show iPhone calendars" on to see your Outlook calendars in CalenGoo. If you would like to automatically save new events into your Outlook.com calendar, just choose the Outlook.com calendar as default calendar for new events under "Settings > Display and Use > Edit view > Default calendar".

You can also turn "Settings > Tasks > iOS Reminders" on to see the Outlook tasks in CalenGoo.

Using Exchange on iOS 12+

iOS 12 has a new security feature. If the Microsoft Intune option "Opening documents from Managed to unmanaged apps not allowed" has been turned on on your Exchange/Office 365 server, then only Apple’s own calendar app can access your calendar. To fix it you have to turn "Opening documents from Managed to unmanaged apps not allowed" on your Exchange/Office 365 server off or you have to use iOS 11.
